ISPS Code - Ship Security Officer

ISM Code - Audit training and PSC training

This course will help you develop a practical approach to the interpretation and application of the ISM Code. Understanding how port state control inspections relate to the International Safety Management (ISM) Code will help you diminish the likelihood of your ships being detained.

This course provides an introduction into the concepts and requirements of MARPOL. Practical examples are used to illustrate the solutions applied to meet the requirements and highlight the most common noncompliance issues.

  • Annex I: Prevention of pollution by oil
  • Annex II: Control of pollution by noxious liquid substances

Bridge Resource Management (BRM)

This three-day course provides training in the more effective management of resources available to the bridge team. It focuses on effective flow of information, requirements of the OOW, common clues available in most accidents; and how to optimize teamwork and effective decision-making.

Topics include: situational awareness, communications, planning, teamwork, stress and fatigue, and relationship with pilots. Accident case studies are reviewed. Programs can be tailored to specific shipping company operations, vessels and ports.

This course meets the STCW requirements which are provided in Chapter VIII, Part 3-1 of the non mandatory "Code B" guidance on keeping a navigational watch and suggests that shipping companies take initiative in implementing Bridge Resource Management (BRM) concept on their vessels.

LNG ship training

This course is designed as a foundation course for persons with little or no experience of LNG tanker operations and for personnel who have limited direct experience of LNG tanker operations and are about to assume greater responsibility in the field.

The course will deal with Cargo and ballast operations and will cover following items:

  • Inerting
  • Gassing up
  • Cool down
  • Loading
  • Loaded passage - use of boil off gas as fuel
  • Discharging
  • Ballast voyage - Cargo tank temp & pressure control
  • Warning up . Purging & gas freeing
  • Preparations for dry - dock
  • Ballasting and De - ballasting

LPG ship training

The course is conducted in accordance to the requirements of regulation V/1-2 paragraph 2.2 and section A-V/1, paragraphs 22 to 34 of the STCW Code and is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Course 1.06.

Course provides training at an advanced level for master, chief engineer officer, chief mate or second engineer officer and other persons on board liquefied gas tankers who have immediate responsibility for the loading,discharging and care in transit or handling of cargo.

After successful completion of the course the trainees should have a better understanding of liquefied gas tanker operations and how to take precautions to prevent potential hazards.

This course is approved by the Belgian Federal Public Service Mobility and Transport Directorate - General Maritime Transport.
